Does Muse connect to Spotify?

Your listening history becomes context — music that matches the moment.

Spotify official site ↗

What it does

  • Gives Muse access to your Spotify listening history and library as context
  • Recommends music tuned to your actual taste instead of generic picks
  • Builds playlists for your mood, activity, or occasion — with your approval before anything is saved
  • You control what Muse can do with your Spotify account from the connector settings

How to connect

  1. Open the Muse app and go to Settings, then Connectors
  2. Find Spotify in the connector list and tap Connect
  3. Read the info screen about what Muse will be able to do
  4. Tap Continue, then authorize with your Spotify account
  5. Tell Muse what you're in the mood for and approve any playlist it makes

Example tasks

  • Make me a playlist for a long Saturday morning run
  • What did I have on repeat last month? Build a mix around it
  • Find me some new artists similar to the ones I listen to at work

Example prompts

Copy one into Muse and adapt it to your situation.

Workout playlist

Put together a high-energy playlist for my 45-minute run, based on what I actually listen to. Show it to me before saving.

Discovery mix

I keep listening to the same stuff. Recommend five artists I haven't tried that fit my taste.

Limitations

  • You control what Muse can do with your Spotify account — review and adjust in connector settings
  • Muse only knows what Spotify shares: listening history and library, not offline habits
  • Available only where Muse is available (US and Canada)
